The Federal Ministry of Education is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 Federal Government Scholarship Awards, offering financial support to Nigerian students pursuing tertiary education. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on students and promote academic excellence across the nation.

Scholarship Categories and Benefits:

• Undergraduate Scholars: ₦250,000 per annum
• Postgraduate Scholars: ₦300,000 per annum
• HND & NCE Students: ₦150,000 per annum

Eligible Fields of Study:

• Science and Technology
• Medicine and Medical Sciences
• Education
• Agriculture
• Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences
• Entrepreneurial Studies
• Information and Communication Technology
• Environmental Sciences

Eligibility Criteria:

• Postgraduate Applicants: Must possess a minimum of a first degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and be registered full-time in a Federal or State university.
• Undergraduate and HND Applicants: Must be full-time students in their second year or above, enrolled in Federal or State universities, polytechnics, or monotechnics. A minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5-point scale (or 5.0 on a 7-point scale) is required for undergraduates, while HND applicants need a CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

3. Complete the online application form.
4. Print the completed application form for your records.

Important Notes:

• The scholarship is tenable in Nigeria and takes effect from the beginning of the academic session.
